yayyy squid hat!
He's more of a plushie that can function as a hat lol.
The hat part is a little too small, so it's kind of hard to keep him on if you're tilting your head a lot. Maybe it's not so much because the head hole is too small, but because there's so much bulk above it. Well, it's fine as long as you're not headbanging or something, his tentacles help keep him up on your noggin!
He's made of anti-pill fleece, so he's soft and cuddly, and he's stuffed with fiberfill. I was able to machine-sew a lot of him, but there were several tricky parts (like where the tentacles attach to the body) that I had to hand-stitch, and I always stitch outer decorative things (like his face) by hand for aesthetic purposes.

I don't really have anywhere to take them other than the couch, so...! Maybe next time I'll set up some sort of...backdrop...something...

But yeah...made the whole thing from scratch in...maybe a couple of weeks (with lots of lazy days where I did absolutely nothing, lol). Created the pattern, cut out the fleece, sewed him up and stuffed 'im. Sounds so much quicker when I type it out like that fffff
